Former SEC Commissioner Goldschmid Named to Second Term on IFRS Foundation
Former SEC Commissioner Harvey Goldschmid has been reappointed to a second term on the IFRS Foundation, the oversight body of the IASB. His new term will end on December 31, 2015. The former Commissioner is currently Dwight Professor of Law at Columbia University. He was a co-chair of the Financial Crisis Advisory Group in 2008-2009, along with current IASB Chair Hans Hoogervorst. In remarks in October of 2011, Mr. Goldschmid said that US incorporation of IFRS is a national imperative.
