The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) has now opened registration for the organization’s 95th Annual Conference, to be held at the historic Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, California from September 9-11, 2012. The conference will feature experts from the worlds of finance and investment, securities regulation, and public policy who will examine the Dodd-Frank rulemaking process, the likely effect of the JOBS Act on capital formation, and the impact that the upcoming national elections may have on financial services regulation.

The second panel, “The Future Course of Capital Formation," will examine the impact of the JOBS Act on the marketplace for capital formation by discussing crowdfunding, Rule 506, Regulation D and Regulation A. The formal conference presentations will conclude with “Politics and Policy: What the Election Means for Financial Services Regulation," during which economic advisers to both parties’ candidates will discuss what is on the horizon for investors, financial regulators, and the industry.
The conference will also feature open forums sponsored by each of NASAA’s five sections (Broker-Dealer, Corporation Finance, Enforcement, Investment Adviser, and Investor Education) as well as a Joint Web CRD/IARD forum.
