Alabama Sets New Securities Fees

Effective August 1, 2009, the following securities fees are in place in Alabama:

Broker-Dealer Firms: $250
Broker-Dealer Agents: $60
Issuer-Agents: $60
Investment Adviser Firms: $250
Investment Adviser Representatives: $60

Securities Registration

Coordination/Qualification:

$40 filing fee + registration fee of 1/10 of 1% aggregate offering price in Alabama, with no less than $100 and no more than $1,500; min. $140, max. $1,540.

Open-End Management Company, Face Amount Certificate Company or Unit Investment Trust registering an indefinite amount:

$100 filing fee + $1,500 registration fee

Exempt Securities

Rule 505/506: $300
Expansion filing: $300
Further Limited Offerings, Rule 830-x-6.12: $300, extension $150

Open-end investment company fees are based on total net assets
Less than or equal to $25 million: $350
Greater than $25 million, less than $100 million: $700
Greater than or equal to $100: $1,200
Unit investment trusts: $200
